Budgets & Cashflow Forecasting

Cash Flow Forecasting is the process of building a dynamic forecast of a company’s future financial position based on known and expected financial receivables and outlays.  It is an essential tool for establishing cashflow requirements in a start-up business but is also a core planning tool for the financial management of established businesses.

The main objectives of a cashflow forecast are:

  • Understanding the liquidity position and needs of an organisation to avoid cash shortages or surpluses before arranging funding or making any large purchases
  • Allowing for better management of working capital

Once a forecast is prepared a business is better placed to prepare longer term budgets and start looking for ways to reduce expensive debt.

Grant Assistance

Small business grants are often available through State and Local Governments.  Grants are generally made available to assist businesses with growth and expansion.  They can be industry specific but a lot of the grants that have been available in recent times have very broad selection criteria and have provided funding for exciting technology and innovation initiatives.

Acquisitions and Mergers
